Well-known South Korean actors Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon welcomed their first child on Tuesday. The actress Park Shin Hye gave birth to a healthy baby boy at a hospital in Seoul. The newborn and mother are in good condition. Park's agency Salt Entertainment gave this good news to her fans in a statement. The famous star is recognised for shows like The Doctors, The Heirs and films The Royal Tailor and The Call.

The talented star couple Shin Hye and Tae Joon fell for each other in late 2017 and since then have been dating. Last year, in November, the duo announced their pregnancy, followed by a fairy-tale wedding ceremony in January 2022. The couple got married on January 22, 2022, in a church in Seoul in the presence of relatives and friends.

The 1990 born Park Shin Hye is a popular South Korean actress and singer. She started her career as a child artist for TV shows and earned recognition with the shows Stairway to Heaven and Tree of Heaven in 2003 and 2006, respectively. Later, as a mainstream actor, she starred in 'Miracle in Cell No. 7', which became one of the highest-grossing Korean films ever. Park even won accolades for her roles in You're Beautiful (2009), The Heirs (2013), Pinocchio (2014–2015), Doctors (2016), Sisyphus: The Myth (2021) and others.

The 30-year-old Choi Tae Joon is a young South Korean actor, model and television host. He gained popularity for a villainous role in 'Missing 9', a disaster-mystery drama released in the year 2017. Later, he took lead roles in Exit in 2018, a melodrama and rom-com, So I Married the Anti-fan in 2021. Choi took up military service on August 1, 2019, and functioned as a public service worker. However, he was discharged from his services in 2021 due to persistent health problems.

Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon have welcomed a baby boy. The couple, who tied the knot earlier this year, had revealed they were expecting their first baby late last year. Park Shin-hye’s agency SALT Agency confirmed the news that the actress has given birth on Tuesday, May 31.

“We are sharing news that actress Park Shin Hye gave birth to a healthy baby boy at a hospital in Seoul today (May 31). Actress Park Shin Hye and her child are in good health, and she is resting with the blessings of her husband, actor Choi Tae Joon, and her acquaintances, the statement reported by Soompi read.

Park Shin-hye and Choi Tae-joon began dating in 2017. After being together for four years, they married in January this year. Both actors had shared the news of the pregnancy in handwritten notes to fans. An excerpt of the note read, “I’m very nervous to be sharing this news today, and on one hand, I’m worried that you might be very surprised by this sudden news. But I still wanted to tell all of you first. I am getting married to the person I have been in a relationship with for a long time. He has been a source of support for a long time and embraced all of the shortcomings of the person Park Shin Hye, and I would like to begin a life as a married couple with him, ” she said. In the note, she added that she was pregnant.

“We would like to make our marriage vows and let this love that I’m grateful for bear fruit. And though I feel cautious saying this, we were blessed with a baby while preparing for the new chapter in our lives, Choi Tae-joon wrote in his note.

On June 6, the actress posted a photo to her Instagram feed of her brother, guitarist and composer Park Shin Won, and wrote, “Congratulations on your wedding, my one and only, dear brother. I've always wondered who'd take you LOL I love you our bear. Live happily and well. 

Park Shin Hye and Choi Tae Joon had announced their pregnancy and marriage at the same time last year in November. The two stars had been in a relationship since 2017 after building a close friendship during their time in university. Following this, the two actors got married earlier this year on January 22, at a private ceremony in Seoul, South Korea. The ceremony was attended by the star couple’s close friends FTISLAND’s Lee Hong Ki, Crush, EXO’s D.O., Lee Juck, actors Bae Jung Nam, Lee Seo Jin, Namgoong Min, Ryu Jun Yeol and AOA’s Seolhyun, among others.
